Role: Senior Payload Systems Engineer Employment Type: Full Time Educational Qualification: Master’s or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in satellite payload systems design and development with a demonstrated expertise in optical, thermal, RF, or other payload systems, including detectors, optics, electronics and mechanisms.
Role Description:
This role involves leading the design, development, and integration of advanced payload systems for satellite platforms. The candidate will work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge payload solutions, ensuring compatibility with spacecraft buses and ground systems.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Work on end-to-end development of satellite payload systems, from requirements definition to integration.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to optimize payload performance.
Perform trade studies and system-level analysis to balance technical performance, cost, and schedule.
Manage payload system interfaces and ensure compatibility with spacecraft and ground systems.
Oversee integration and testing, including environmental testing, calibration, and validation.
Troubleshoot issues and ensure successful mission outcomes.
Stay updated on advancements in payload technologies and incorporate best practices.
Desirable Skills & Certifications:
