Senior Network Officer – Sandbach – Full Time – 3 Month Contract – £380.00 per day umbrella (inside IR35).
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Network Officer to join a Public Sector Service Delivery Team in Sandbach, Cheshire.
This role will involve upgrading the Wide Area Network and replacing the present Cisco LAN infrastructure at over 200 sites.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
– Leading and managing a highly skilled IT team, tasked with provings a manged ICT environment for stakeholders.
– Develop strategic product roadmaps to direct R&D into new technologies.
– Ensure adoption of automated technology solutions.
– Technical lead and escalation for complex ad hoc ICT issues, recognising severity and leading diagnostics.
– Planning and presenting highly complex technical training.
– Ensuring the ongoing continuity of many businesscritical systems and processes in a highly complex hybrid environment.
To be suitable for this opportunity; you must have knowledge and experience in the following:
– Configuring and supporting with Juniper SRX and Cisco ASA Firewalls.
– IPS/IDS and cloud connectivity.
– Public Service Network (PSN)
– Experience of large data centre network, wide area network and local area network infrastructure design, provision and support.
– Hold a network engineering accreditation such as Juniper Networks Certified Specialist and Cisco CCNA/CCNP in Routing and Switching.
– Simplification and rebuilding of the Corporate, Guest and Partner Wifi services.
The rate for this position is £380.00 per day umbrella (inside IR35).
This position is available full time Monday – Friday 36 hours a week.
This is initially a 3 month contract, but there is potential for extension.
