We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our FUN-ance Team (yes, that’s what we call ourselves!). This role is perfect for someone who loves a mix of day-to-day accounting operations and forward-looking financial strategy. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, driving insights, and supporting Coconut’s continued growth as a high-performing Canadian B2B SaaS company.

YOU’RE FIRED UP TO
- Support the preparation and review of monthly financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
- Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and ensure accurate SaaS revenue recognition under ASPE.
- Assist with annual audit, tax filings, and external reporting requirements.
- Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts and uphold internal controls.
- Support monthly close and reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and manage KPI dashboards, and reporting to provide clear financial insights.
- Partner with department leaders to coordinate and consolidate inputs for the annual budget.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key financial trends to support decision-making.
- Build and refine financial models to guide business decisions.
- Optimize and implement accounting & FP&A systems to enhance automation and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Product to align financial plans with business priorities.
- Lead or contribute to process improvements that streamline reporting and analysis.
- Provide ad-hoc financial insights and support special projects as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- CPA designation (required).
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate accounting.
- Experience at a Big Four accounting firm or in public accounting is considered a strong foundation for success in this role.
- Strong understanding of ASPE accounting standards and operational finance.
- Experience in SaaS or software/technology environments is considered an asset.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and FP&A tools preferred.
- Prior experience in FP&A and annual budgeting is an asset.
- Exceptional analytical ability, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.
- Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams.
- A proactive approach, juggling competing priorities with focus and flexibility.
