Senior Data Scientist

We’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a cross-functional team developing advanced text understanding and classification systems. You’ll work on improving and expanding data-driven models that identify and categorize complex information across large-scale datasets. This role blends innovation in machine learning and NLP with a strong emphasis on data quality, scalability, and applied problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Design and enhance algorithms for entity recognition, topic classification, and semantic enrichment. Improve the accuracy, coverage, and consistency of large-scale data assets. Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and product teams to deliver production-ready solutions. Explore and prototype new approaches using modern ML and NLP techniques. Contribute to architecture discussions and help scale the data science infrastructure. Promote best practices for experimentation, code quality, and model evaluation. Requirements Proven experience building and deploying data science or machine learning solutions in a professional environment. Strong background in natural language processing, entity extraction, or text classification. Solid programming skills in Python (or comparable languages such as Java or Scala). Familiarity with modern data tools and platforms for model development and deployment. Understanding of databases and large-scale data processing. Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively across disciplines. Degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, data science, machine learning, or a related quantitative field. Location: Netherlands Work Model: Hybrid
