Senior Data Scientist
Job Description
This position offers the opportunity to leverage the entire spectrum of analytics tools towards solving a wide variety of business problems. The focus is on applying a combination of industry-standard practices and innovative ideas, utilizing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, and employing AI, machine learning, and statistical techniques to build, evaluate, and implement models. Our team focuses on creating analytical solutions that solve real-world business problems for all lines of business. Analytics-driven technology platforms are transforming the way we operationalize model outputs at Chubb. This role will work closely with data science teams to develop ML models and engage with engineering teams to deploy these models as APIs on various cutting-edge platforms. This is a great opportunity to create analytic solutions for multiple lines of business, deepening your insurance product knowledge.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred.
5+ years of analytics background with programming experience in Python required.
Experienced with the development and implementation of machine learning and statistical models.
Ability to write and maintain custom classes.
Experience in the Insurance or Financial services industry is required.
Experience hosting machine learning models as APIs preferred (i.e., experience with Docker, MLFlow, or Flask)
Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and keeping up to date on emerging industry trends.
Passion for solving business problems through analytics.
A good understanding of databases and approaches to extracting data.
The pay range for the role is $111,000 to $188,900. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.
