About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer who’s excited to help shape the future of how we use data to make better decisions and improve patient lives. In this role, you’ll establish our data engineering architecture and build the pipelines that power both internal insights and our commercial data products. Your work will help drive clarity, impact, and growth across the company.
What you will do
Partner closely with the CTO and Head of Product to turn complex data challenges into elegant, scalable solutions
Build reliable, maintainable infrastructure in AWS using Terraform to support our growing data needs
Design data tables and pipelines that serve the unique needs of our customers and internal teams
Implement best-in-class data pipelines with observability built in from day one
Analyze and visualize data in BI tools to enable informed business decisions and deliver tailored insights to customers
Share your work and impact across teams — presenting results, learning from feedback, and continuously improving
Who you are

A proven ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights — and to collaborate effectively across teams
Fluency with Python, SQL, and other relevant technologies
Experience building advanced data infrastructure in AWS using Terraform
Strong analytical thinking and hands-on experience with data visualization tools
Some things that are not required, but you could learn on the job:
Working with healthcare data standards (including HL7, FHIR, OMOP, and HPO)
Understanding marketing data from platforms like Google and Meta
Deepening your expertise in HIPAA compliance and data security best practices

The salary range for this role is $150,000-$190,000 annually. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs.
This is a hybrid role that will requires working on-site 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in San Francisco. Local candidates only. Relocation is not currently offered for this role.
