As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be at the heart of our operations, working with cutting-edge technologies to enhance our platform's reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

Main responsibilities
Cloud Security Expertise: As a critical member of the platform team, you will bring specialized knowledge in cloud security. Your expertise in securing cloud-based environments and infrastructure is essential for the protection and management of Ankorstore’s digital assets hosted in the cloud. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures tailored to cloud computing, ensuring the security and integrity of data and services in a dynamic cloud landscape.
Enhancing Security and Risk Management: The role is pivotal in safeguarding Ankorstore’s digital assets and infrastructure. By developing comprehensive security strategies, you'll protect the company from cyber threats and vulnerabilities, particularly in cloud-based operations. This position is crucial in managing risks and maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Ensuring Business Continuity: In a cloud-centric environment, you will ensure rapid response to security incidents, minimizing operational disruptions. Your expertise in cloud-based threat detection and mitigation is vital in swiftly resolving issues, thereby maintaining Ankorstore's reputation for reliability and trustworthiness.
Optimizing Security Processes in Cloud Environments: Collaborating closely with the platform team, the Senior Security Engineer will be instrumental in assessing and enhancing the company’s cloud security architecture and protocols. You will identify gaps, recommend improvements, and implement state-of-the-art practices in cloud cybersecurity, ensuring continuous advancement of Ankorstore’s security posture in alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
Languages: Go, Python
Stack: Kubernetes, Istio, Flux, Terraform, Docker
Cloud Providers: Google Cloud Platform
Monitoring technologies: Prometheus, Grafana
Security Tools: Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, Falco, Open Policy Agent/Gatekeeper, Crowdstrike, YARA
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Security. At least 3 years of experience in Security Operations/Incident Response within cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of Cloud Security with a focus on GCP, as well as securing container-based workloads in Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and capable of maintaining cloud resources.
Basic forensics on Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with common EDR technologies and IOC collection.
Experience in threat hunting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently, while working under pressure
In-depth knowledge of incident response protocols and procedures, including experience in handling security breaches, conducting post-incident analyses, and implementing remediation strategies. Ability to lead and coordinate incident response efforts in cloud-based environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, and to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
A positive, can-do attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet clients' needs.
The ability to adapt to new technologies, processes, and procedures, as well as to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Location : Germany. We are a remote-friendly company, and you will have a full remote contract in Germany.
