About the Role

As a Senior Business Development Associate, Global Marketplace, you will be responsible for sorting high quality sellers, reaching out to potential oversea/local partners, and onboarding new leads. You’ll be starting at an exciting time where you’ll have the opportunity to build on the momentum and work with cross-functional global teams. Also, Senior Business Development Associate will support the team lead to develop and execute the BD strategy that expands Weee! Global Marketplace customer base and achieve bookings and revenue targets;

Responsibilities:

  • Onboard sellers overseas/locally to help broaden our ever growing online marketplace to a vast array of food and non-food carriers and partners.
  • Identify business opportunities and qualified sellers, build relationship and manage seller performance.
  • Attend sales appointments, educating potential sellers businesses on Weee!’s Global Marketplace business.
  • Work with sellers to grow the customer base by turning sellers into long term partners by constant contact, and seller appreciation strategies.
  • Partner with strategic sellers to drive organic growth by expanding selection, improving offer quality, and managing inventory.
  • Develop a consistent and creative BD and marketing plan, including events, site placements and promotion to drive incremental traffic and growth.
  • Gather and communicate sellers’ feedback to our product teams to ensure the product innovates to fit the merchant’s needs.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of marketing or business development experience in the ecommerce industry.
  • Rich sales experience and BD experience.
  • Self-starter mentality with high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • You are curious, persistent and passionate about sales and always searching for creative solutions
  • Have analytical background - good at deep diving & driving efficiencies based on data insights
  • Excellent at motivating potential partners to see the benefit of Weee!’s Marketplace platform will bring to their business
  • Adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet and be comfortable with working in a scaling startup environment
  • Due to the nature of the business, bilingual applicants preferred: Japanese/Vietnamese and English.
  • Bachelor degree and above

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $90,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
