Your Mission
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you bring a pragmatic mindset, write clean and scalable code, and thrive in a modern agile product environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping our architecture, leading backend initiatives, and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
This role offers a clear path toward technical leadership — we're looking for someone eager to take ownership and grow into a Tech Lead position over time.
Your Responsibilities
- Architect & Build: Design, implement, and maintain scalable microservices on a modern tech stack (NestJS, Node.js, event-based architecture, serverless infrastructure).
- Shape the Foundation: Define system architecture and lay down foundational engineering practices for maintainability and scale.
- Collaborate & Guide: Contribute to technical strategy and product direction. Participate actively in roadmap discussions and offer a long-term engineering perspective.
- Write Great Code: Focus on clean, modular, and maintainable code. Drive TDD and ensure quality with unit, integration, and system tests.
- Own Delivery: Work iteratively, embrace fast feedback cycles, and help ensure features move smoothly from concept to production.
- Evaluate & Innovate: Stay up to date with emerging tools and frameworks, and bring new ideas to the table.

Technical Leadership
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years using Node.js.
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with NestJS (or similar frameworks) is a plus.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, distributed systems, and microservice architecture.
- Experience working with event-driven or serverless systems.
- [Bonus] Exposure to frontend technologies like Svelte.
- [Bonus] Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, or infrastructure-as-code.
Engineering Philosophy
- Passionate about writing clean, modular, and testable code.
- Experienced with test-driven development and quality-focused delivery practices.
- Comfortable making architectural decisions and guiding others in trade-offs and best practices.
