Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Audit Consultant in Houston, TX for our client, delivering advisory, audit, and financial reporting support across accounting and finance functions. This in-office role emphasizes SEC reporting, financial planning and analysis, internal controls, and financial systems initiatives while collaborating with finance and accounting teams to improve reporting accuracy, streamline processes, and support complex business requirements.
Responsibilities as the Senior Audit Consultant:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Support annual planning, quarterly forecasting, long-range initiatives, and advanced financial modeling related to profitability, pricing, and cost management.
- SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting: Assist with SEC reporting requirements and technical accounting research in compliance with U.S. GAAP and FASB guidance.
- Audit & Financial Reporting: Contribute to financial and operational audits, consolidated reporting, and transaction-related integration support.
- Strategic & Transactional Analysis: Support acquisition and divestiture analysis, capital planning, R&D budgeting, and marketing performance analysis to inform leadership decisions.
- Systems, Controls & Process Improvement: Assist with internal control documentation, month-end close enhancements, and financial systems implementation initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of public accounting experience at a CPA firm, ideally Big Four or large public accounting firm, with demonstrated experience at the Senior level.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong exposure to SEC reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, and audit coordination within complex corporate environments.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency with experience supporting financial systems, reporting tools, and process automation initiatives.
