Overview

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for implementing and running day-to-day account activities independently for your portfolio of clients. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients on all execution-level work, including media and influencer engagement, media monitoring, materials development and more, as well as working closely with your account manager to ideate and plan PR campaigns. Your role is key in driving the overall success of the account.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships with day-to-day client and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Build deep understanding of clients’ business and their industry landscape.
  • Act as the media and influencer go-to expert for the internal team through developing and nurturing relationships with journalists and influencers and proactively leading in earned and paid engagement efforts.
  • Write and edit high-quality content for client materials, including press releases and alerts, pitch notes, byline articles and social media captions, with minimal edits required.
  • Support the development of PR plans for new and existing clients, including research and ideation.
  • Proactively lead in the delivery and execution of client events and campaigns, ensuring that agreed timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Independently manage multiple day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision and strict adherence to deadlines and expectations.
  • Monitor and analyse media coverage, providing insights on key takeaways and areas of improvement in client reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, media landscape and emerging social media platforms, proactively contributing knowledge, insights and ideas to the team.
  • Mentor junior team members in the areas of strategic planning, editorial content development, ideation of content and media relations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in PR communications in agency and/or client-side.
  • A strong writer with excellent research, writing, editing, presentation and client interaction skills.
  • Experience in local/regional strategic planning and strong media relations as well as social media management.
  • Detail-oriented, excellent organizational and reporting skills, able to manage multiple projects with minimum or no supervision.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking, capable to work independently and able to work under pressure.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in developing communications plans and implement public relations tactics.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
