About the job
ABC Teachers are working with a number of schools across Derbyshire who are looking to appoint SEN teaching assistants. The positions vary in length, part time and full time basis
Ideal candidates must have:
- Experience working 1:1 or in a classroom with SEN pupils
- Be qualified to a minimum of level 2
- Recent experience of working within SEN schools
- A proactive attitude to work
- The desire to inspire and motivate pupils of the school
- Adaptability and be willing to undertake a range of tasks
Successful candidates will be able to work as part of a team and also lead 1:1 sessions with challenging pupils. They must show strong will and determinism to make a difference to the lives and education of these pupils.
Safeguarding and other SEN qualification or certificates are desirable but not essential. These posts involve working with pupils of varying ages from 5-19.
Some positions may involve giving personal care to a certain degree for the right candidate.
