Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced SAP Finance – General Ledger (GL) Associate Manager to support a major SAP transformation program. This role will focus on the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP General Ledger processes in SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional leads, and technical teams to ensure efficient financial close, accurate reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex financial processes in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the configuration and implementation of SAP General Ledger (GL) processes in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with business requirements and project objectives.
Design and configure key GL components, including chart of accounts, ledger structures, document splitting, and financial period closing processes.
Support the integration of GL with other financial components such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), and Controlling (CO).
Conduct requirement gathering workshops, process mapping, and gap analysis to identify and address business needs.
Develop functional specifications for custom reports or system enhancements related to GL processes.
Assist in data migration activities, including the migration of opening balances and historical transactions.
Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to GL during development, testing, and post-go-live support.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and business sign-off activities to ensure successful implementation.
Ensure compliance with corporate financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end process integration and alignment.
