Sales Engineer - Africa Region

A leading player in the valves and actuators industry is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive new business development in mining markets across African countries. This role requires a proactive and strategic sales professional with the ability to combine technical knowledge and commercial acumen to deliver real value to clients.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• 3–5 years of proven sales experience, ideally within mining or heavy industry, in Africa
• Strong technical background in valves and/or actuators
• Ability to research, identify, and engage with key decision-makers in mining operations
• Solid track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• French language proficiency highly advantageous

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Experience developing and executing a strategic sales approach – not just waiting for orders
• Skilled at conducting needs analysis and tailoring solutions to customer challenges
• Ability to manage the full sales cycle: Lead generation, presentations, proposals, and closing
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of profitability and financial drivers
• Willingness to travel extensively into African markets to grow the company’s footprint
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to overcome sales obstacles to secure results
