Sales Associate

About the job

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Associate to join our team. In this role you will engage with youth baseball players and their parents visiting the Pison pop up store to explain the value proposition of the Pison products and to help them purchase products. This role requires a deep understanding of our product's capabilities and how it applies to improving the performance of athletes in the sport of baseball. You will play a key role in driving sales, fostering relationships with clients, and positioning our software as a game-changer in athletic performance enhancement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our software product, its features, and its application in baseball performance optimization.
  • Engage potential customers, including individual baseball players, coaches, and parents, to understand their performance needs and demonstrate how our wearable and software meets those requirements.
  • Build rapport with customers to excite their interest in how our product can enhance their life and athletic performance. Conduct product demonstrations and explain how the product can be used by the prospective customer.
  • Collect feedback from prospects about what they like or don’t like about the products and provide feedback back to the Pison product development and marketing teams to improve the product and its appeal with our target audience.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, with a focus on revenue growth in the sports and athletics industry.
  • Stay updated on trends in baseball training and sports technology to effectively communicate the value of our product.
  • Assist the site manager with operation of the pop up store, demonstration and testing stations, and mobile selling stations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • This is a full-time position with a shifted work week that runs Wednesday-Sunday. You must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Proven experience as a sales associate or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of baseball and/or physical fitness/training practices. Experience as a college baseball player is a major plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 30 pounds.

Education and Experience:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales-related role.
