JOB - Robotics Engineer

LOCATION - Milton Keynes

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £40,000 to £55,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a leading automation company based in Milton Keynes who are looking to hire a Robotics Engineer with strong experience in ABB robotic systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team working on high-tech, cutting-edge automation solutions.

The Robotics Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with ABB robotic systems
• Proficient in ABB Rapid programming language
• Extensive experience using ABB RobotStudio for offline programming and simulation
• Familiarity with ABB’s IRC5 controller architecture
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning or support activities

The Robotics Engineer role will involve:

• Programming and configuring ABB industrial robots for various automation applications
• Using RobotStudio to perform offline programming, simulation, and testing
• Integrating robotic systems into automated production environments
• Troubleshooting robotic and control systems on-site and remotely
• Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams during system development
• Supporting system commissioning, testing, and customer training
• Ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on time and within budget
