About the job
Waste Connections is looking to hire a Local Garbage Truck Driver at our site in Gilmer, TX. The position will be responsible for driving a Residential Garbage Truck with another driver on specified routes to collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites. This job is extremely physical taking turns working on the back of the garbage truck. You will be on a driver/driver team.
Monday-Friday 6 am start time typically working a 10+ hour day. We also offer family benefits, 401k, and paid time off.
Job Requirements:
Class A or B CDL
Clean Driving Record
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to lift 65 lbs throughout a 10+ hour shift.
