SUMMARY STATEMENT:

In a collaborative team environment, provide qualitative analytical insight and lead initiatives part of the Engineering is Elementary Research & Evaluation team as they evaluate the development of new curriculum and professional development offerings. This includes conducting formative evaluation of new curriculum products in early childhood and elementary school settings, organizing and communicating data management procedures to the team and external partners, and analyzing and communicating qualitative research findings to funders and the educational research field.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on research and evaluation efforts for 2-5 concurrent projects
  • Maintain data management of and aid in analysis of digital library with 1500 hours of video footage and 20000 student journals/performance assessments
  • Develop protocols for, participate in, and help analyze 40-80 classroom observations per year
  • Design, review, and analyze information from 20-40 surveys and feedback forms distributed to educators
  • Help lead 5-10 educator focus groups per year


WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours/wk, Monday-Friday


REPORTS TO:

Manager, Operations, Research and Multimedia


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree
  • 1 or more years of Educational research and/or program evaluation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a detail-oriented environment
  • Experience with qualitative research methods
  • Demonstrated writing and communication skills
  • Interest or previous experience in education


STARTING SALARY:

Non-Exempt (Hourly).
