Position: Regional Manager – Trust Services (FAIS)

Our client is seeking a Regional Manager: Trust Services to oversee the delivery and administration of Trust-related products and services, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. This is a high-impact role requiring leadership, risk oversight, and a strong customer-centric focus.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Operational Leadership:

Drive execution of Trust Services strategy and performance targets.
Lead cross-functional operations and align resources for maximum efficiency.
Oversee budgets, capital expenditure, and ensure compliance with financial controls.

People Management:

Lead and mentor Trust Managers and Relationship Managers.
Foster a high-performance culture through formal development, succession planning, and talent acquisition.
Drive employee engagement and address performance or grievance matters proactively.

Risk & Compliance Oversight:

Ensure all operations comply with relevant legislation (FAIS, fiduciary, trust laws).
Engage with audit teams and drive corrective action plans for any identified risks.
Maintain robust controls, including Business Continuity Plans and Information Security protocols.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

Serve as the first point of escalation for key client concerns and ensure resolutions within 24 hours.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. Road Accident Fund, Master of the High Court, attorneys).
Promote a professional, solution-oriented client service culture across the region.

Qualifications:

Relevant B Degree (NQF 6)
Advanced Estate & Trust Diploma
LEAD Certificate
Certificate in Advanced Trust Law

Experience:

2+ years in a management role
4+ years in a fiduciary/trust environment

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and coaching ability
Financial analysis & risk management
Excellent interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills
Customer service excellence
Marketing and business development understanding
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
