As a Quantum Computing Researcher, you will design and implement large-scale experiments, rapidly testing and deploying innovative ideas to advance the field. You will manage research projects, balancing deadlines and deliverables while applying cutting-edge quantum theories to develop novel algorithms, architectures, and technologies. From formulating new quantum algorithms and optimizing error correction techniques to exploring quantum hardware performance, our researchers tackle real-world challenges at the intersection of quantum information science, computational physics, and high-performance computing.

BlocQ is a quantum software startup dedicated to realizing the world's first commercial application of quantum computing. Our team consists of highly skilled quantum researchers, software engineers, and cybersecurity experts. We look forward to sharing more about our work and vision during the interview process.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in physics, computer science, math, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • A background in many-body physics or quantum algorithms
  • One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with people from different backgrounds
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications

  • 2 years of experience with Python or C++.
  • 1 year of experience leading research efforts and influencing other researchers.
