We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer I to join our team. The successful candidate will provide Process and Quality Engineering support to manufacturing and product development teams to ensure the delivery and development of the highest quality products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and control manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by participating in teams focused on root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Support the development of product quality plans, documentation, and systems by creating product specifications, quality specifications, and quality plans in collaboration with product development teams.

Conduct risk analyses and develop FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analyses) as required.

Develop process monitoring systems by identifying critical process steps and applying methods to reduce variation and eliminate defects.

Lead process improvement efforts by capturing and analyzing quality metrics to enhance both sustaining product design and new product development.

Contribute to the creation and improvement of quality tools and training materials, identifying opportunities for more effective resources.

Build strong internal networks and begin developing external partnerships to support task completion.

May lead moderate-scope project teams and provide guidance or mentorship to less experienced staff members.

Plan, organize, and prioritize daily work routines to meet established schedules.

Exercise sound judgment and authority within defined limits to determine appropriate actions.

Ensure compliance with all quality system and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: Relevant experience in process or quality engineering with a strong understanding of the specified functional area.

Working technical knowledge of quality concepts, practices, and procedures.

General understanding of business unit or group functions.

Demonstrated ability to analyze data and situations to make informed decisions within defined procedures and practices.

Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and their impact on the systems environment.

Experience working within a regulated quality system environment preferred.
