Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced, agile development team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Salesforce based solutions through comprehensive testing strategies and collaboration with development teams.
This role requires understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and modern testing methodologies.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Testing & Quality Assurance**
2. Design and execute comprehensive test plans for Salesforce applications, customizations, and integrations
3. Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple Salesforce environments
4. Test complex business processes involving Flows, custom Lightning components, and third-party integrations
5. Validate data accuracy and integrity across system boundaries
6. Ensure proper testing coverage for deployments using GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline
7. **Test Automation**
8. Develop and maintain automated test suites using appropriate tools and frameworks
9. Create reusable test scripts and data sets for efficient regression testing
10. Implement continuous testing practices within our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline
11. Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing early in the development lifecycle
12. **Salesforce Platform Expertise**
13. Test across multiple Salesforce clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud) and environments (sandbox vs. production)
14. Validate deployments and change management processes
15. Test integrations with external systems through middleware platforms (MuleSoft Anypoint)
16. Test data flows and integrations with AWS S3 and Salesforce Data Cloud
17. Understand and test modern Salesforce features including automation toolsEnsure compliance with Salesforce best practices and governor limits
18. **Collaboration & Communication**
19. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners in agile sprints
20. Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
21. Document test cases, results, and defects clearly and thoroughly
22. Leverage Salesforce Event Logs for testing validation and issue troubleshooting
23. Communicate testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders
**Required Qualifications**
1. **Experience**
2. 5+ years of software quality engineering experience
3. 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce testing experience
4. Strong background in agile/scrum development methodologies
5. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
6. Proven track record of testing complex enterprise applications
7. **Technical Skills**
8. Deep understanding of Salesforce platform architecture and capabilities
9. Experience testing Salesforce customizations (Apex, Lightning Components, Flows)
10. Knowledge of Salesforce deployment processes and environment management
11. Experience testing integrations with middleware platforms
12. Proficiency in SOQL and data validation techniques
13. Familiarity with API testing and integration validation
14. Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
15. **Soft Skills**
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
18. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, agile environments
19. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAdaptable and quick to learn new technologies and processes
20. Continuous learning mindset to stay current with platform updates
**Preferred Qualifications**
1. **Certifications & Training**
2. Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification
3. Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer I)
4. Quality engineering certifications
5. **Additional Experience**
6. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
7. Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
8. Experience with AWS S3 integrations
9. Knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud
10. Performance testing experience with enterprise applications
11. Experience with Salesforce Event Logs analysis
$121,000 - $141,000 a year
In addition to the above compensation, this role may be eligible for a bonus.
