Project Engineer – Croydon – 6 Month Contract – £32.00 per hour (inside IR35)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Project Engineer to deliver TFL Local Implementation Plans funded minor highway and road safety schemes. Manage contractor performance on site in terms of costs and quality.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

* Provide professional, technical support and advice to Senior Engineer, elected members, internal departments and the public.
* Support the delivery of the Council’s statutory duties and corporate priorities in on or more of; Highways structures, Drainage, Traffic engineering, Highways or Road Safety.
* Assist senior staff with the delivery of complex highway engineering schemes and projects, and lead on delegated projects and schemes.
* Manage appointed contractors performance.

To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:

* Sound Engineering knowledge in area of highway engineering/road safety specialism.
* Knowledge of use of engineering contracts for delivery of works.
* Ability to investigate, analyse, design, and deliver engineering schemes.
* Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
* Use of relevant computer software in particular “Autocad”
* Working knowledge of CAD packages.
