About the job
Under direct supervision, the incumbent will report directly to the Principal Investigator of the NSF EPSCoR grant. The individual will plan, organize, manage, direct and provide support to grant project(s). Responsibilities will include working with other staff on federal/state/regional initiatives to build the state’s research infrastructure; managing all activities associated with STEM engagement programs and associated STEM translation and commercialization initiatives; assisting in the preparation of grant proposals, requests for proposals, and reports; planning of meetings and coordination with internal steering and external board committees; statewide and multijurisdictional conferences and special events for faculty development programs; disseminating and collecting evaluation data and materials; and interacting with university faculty and administrators. Within these responsibilities, the incumbent will implement processes and procedures in accordance with the standards of the grant, its affiliated departments, LSUHSC, the State of Louisiana, and the National Science Foundation, as applicable to each assigned project.
