Resumen

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery. This role leads and coordinates production teams, manages resources, and ensures compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Responsabilidades

Mains Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities across assigned shifts/areas (assembly, sheet metal, powder coating, molding, etc.).

  • Ensure compliance with production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Monitor performance metrics (productivity, scrap, rework, downtime, etc.) and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Lead and motivate production teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

  • Coordinate with support departments (Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, HR, Logistics) to resolve issues and optimize processes.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards (OSHA, ISO, internal policies).

  • Conduct shift meetings, assign work, and follow up on priorities and targets.

  • Identify training needs, coach employees, and support career development within the production area.

  • Participate in audits, problem-solving initiatives, and lean manufacturing/Kaizen projects.



Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 3–5 years in a supervisory role within the manufacturing sector.

  • Knowledge:

    • Manufacturing processes (sheet metal, painting, molding, assembly).

    • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

    • Production planning and KPI management.

    • Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management.

    • Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Analytical and organizational abilities.
