About the job
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our growing Product Management team. This is a challenging, impactful, and highly collaborative position that sits at the interface of Product, Science, Engineering, and ML. Reporting to our Data Product Lead. You will translate the platform vision and define the direction across our teams to build and maintain BenchSci's knowledge graph and data infrastructure. BenchSci is a scientific data company, and you will help pave the path towards realizing our mission of bringing medicines to patients 50% faster by 2025.
You Will:
- Develop strategy and roadmap for your team, including, but not limited to, influencing the structured extracted information and connection to our knowledge graph and ML and data pipelines that ladder up to the company strategy
- Translate business objectives into user, technical, and data requirements and related resources
- Partner with team members across the Platform Stream including senior leaders on the Science, Product, Engineering, as well as other representatives from Go-To-Market to drive successful execution and adoption of complex solutions
- Measure and report essential metrics to internal stakeholders to demonstrate the value created by the team
You Have:
- 3+ years as a Product Manager, 7+ preferred, with increasing responsibility on highly technical data products. Experience working on scientifically-informed products is preferred
- Familiarity with graph and structured data, preferably in scientific or health-care data
- A proven track record in bringing clarity to a complex domain and driving agreements between technical teams and the business - you are an excellent facilitator
- Successfully taken new features from conception through launch to adoption, engagement, and retention
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes over outputs
- Experience in enterprise client-facing roles is ideal
- A data-informed decision-making process with the ability to identify new opportunities and provide sound reasoning for strategy decisions from that data
- A PhD in biology (or a related field) and/or experience and knowledge of Biological Sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, etc.) or equivalent, would be an asset in this role
