About the job
### Role Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Product Analyst who thrives in ambiguity, owns end-to-end analytics, and translates signals into sharp product bets. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Growth to shape features, instrument events, and run experiments that lift activation, engagement, retention, and revenue.
#### What You’ll Do
* Own metrics for core journeys-define KPIs, build simple, reliable dashboards, and keep a close eye on product health across funnels (activation, engagement, monetization).
* Write robust SQL to query our warehouse, create reusable datasets, and document metric definitions so everyone speaks the same language.
* Build lightweight scripts/services (Python/JavaScript) to fetch/enrich data via APIs; automate recurring analysis where it saves time.
* Design and analyze A/B tests and quick experiments; ensure good methodology without over-engineering.
* Run cohort, segmentation, and behavioral analyses to uncover actionable patterns and opportunities.
* Partner with PMs to size opportunities, craft hypotheses, and recommend clear decisions.
* Collaborate with Engineering to set up event taxonomy and instrumentation; proactively fix data quality issues.
* Tell the story-turn analysis into concise narratives and recommendations that lead to product changes.
* Pitch in where needed: from ad-hoc deep dives and anomaly investigations to building scrappy tooling for the team.
What Makes You a Fit
* 2-5 years in product or business analytics at consumer tech (B2C), ideally in fast-paced or early-stage environments.
* Strong SQL and hands-on experience with BigQuery (clickstream data) is a must.
* Hands on experience with Google Apps Script to automate repetitive tasks.
* Practical grasp of experimentation (A/B testing), cohort analysis, and customer segmentation.
* Familiarity with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog) and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) or equivalent scrappy setups.
* Solid statistical fundamentals (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, regression) applied pragmatically.
* Clear communicator who can distill complex analysis into simple, actionable insights for non-analysts.
* Bias for action: you document, instrument, fix broken metrics, and close loops.
* Bonus: experience with event taxonomy design, recommendation systems, or API integrations.
Why join us (early-stage realities)
* Real ownership: your insights will directly shape what we ship next week, not next quarter.
* Fast feedback loops: work onsite with the core team, test quickly, and iterate based on live user signals.
* Growth: broaden your scope across analytics, experimentation, instrumentation, and product strategy.
* Competitive salary and benefits; upside in building something users love from the ground up.
### Location & Work Setup
* Bangalore BeBetta Corporate Office; onsite, Monday-Friday & Sat - WFH.
How Success Will Be Measured
* Adoption and trust in your metrics/dashboards across the team.
* Clear, measurable lifts in activation, engagement, retention, or monetization from your recommendations.
* Data hygiene: accurate events, documented definitions, reliable pipelines.
* Speed to insight and the quality of decisions enabled by your work.
If you’re excited to turn raw signals into product decisions and enjoy the craft of building analytics in an early-stage setup, we’d love to talk.
