Description
The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU) and School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering seek applicants for a postdoctoral research position. The candidate will work in the area of cell therapies, biomaterials, and immune engineering. The School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering, one of the eight Fulton Schools, houses a biomedical engineering research community (learn more at https://research.engineering.asu.edu/). We seek applicants who can enhance our abilities in these areas as part of a community of experts.
Appointment will be at the postdoctoral research rank, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments, beginning November 2025.
Essential Functions
• Animal work, immune cell culture, flow cytometry characterization of cell phenotype, light microscopy, data analysis, and preparing manuscripts.
• Selection, purchase, and acquisition of equipment and supplies; creating, tracking and maintaining inventory; cleaning and organizing the lab resources; maintaining laboratory facility; reporting equipment failures and safety violations, among other related tasks
Qualifications
Required qualifications
• Earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or related discipline by the time of appointment.
• Evidence of excellence in research, as appropriate to the candidate’s rank.
NOTE: The postdoctoral (research) scholar is within 5 years receipt of the doctoral degree.
