Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate

Description:

The Hatzell group in the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University is seeking applications for postdoctoral research associates or more senior research positions. The Hatzell group examines advanced x-ray and neutron characterization of battery applications. We are seeking experts in electrochemistry, solid-state ionics, materials characterization and/or electrochemical engineering. We seek candidates with an interest in participating in large multi-PI grants and with collaborative research experiences, experience writing proposals for user-facilities, and/or experience leading and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. A PhD in relevant fields of energy storage, electrochemistry, and materials characterization is required. Experience with solid electrolytes, membranes or synchrotron characterization is desirable but not a constraint. All candidates must have a strong research background and enjoy working in teams. All candidates must have strong, demonstrated research ability, be comfortable in an interdisciplinary research environment, and have excellent English language verbal and written communication skills. The Andlinger Center is especially interested in candidates who will contribute to the excellence of the academic community and diversity of the curriculum, broadly defined.The term of appointment is based on rank. Positions at the postdoctoral rank are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding; those hired at more senior ranks may have multi-year appointments. The work location for this position is in-person on campus at Princeton University. Expected Salary Range: PDRA: $65,000 - $71,000 :: ARS: $72,000 - $86,000
