Post Doctoral Scholar to pursue continued research experience and training within the Department of Neuroscience; conducts independent research under the guidance of his/her scientific mentor to investigate the interoception neuron circuit using the zebrafish model; independently designs new analytical approaches and tools; performs experiments; independently develops and troubleshoots new experimental techniques and protocols; collects and participates in analyzing data for reports for the purpose of grants submissions; participates in writing grant proposals; participates in writing of manuscripts and articles for publication and presentation; trains staff in techniques; collaborates and seeks expertise from other labs; attends and presents research at local, national, and international scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars; supervise Graduate and Undergraduate students in the laboratory.
Experience and Qualifications Required and/or Desired
PhD or equivalent degree required; experience in bioinformatic data analysis, zebrafish, or genetics is preferred.
