Portfolio Finance Trader

We are looking to recruit a candidate to work as a Portfolio Finance Trader in Hong Kong. The candidate should be analytical, highly motivated, hardworking and energetic. They must possess strong quantitative skills and understanding of trading technology. They must possess the communication skills to maintain and develop relationships internally within the fund and externally with the financing counterparties. Principal Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Portfolio Managers trading in Asian markets, proactively keeping them updated on the latest financing color, regulations and products relevant to their strategies. In addition, help educate new PMs on Portfolio Finance and Securities Lending capabilities.
• Work with the Prime Brokers to build on strong relationships and drive trading platform priorities for the financing, stock borrow and various Delta One products.
• Work closely with Portfolio Finance Quant research team to build analytics for PMs and measure PB performance
• Working with Portfolio Finance Global team, Execution, Operations and Technology to help build firm-wide financing solutions

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• At a minimum, an investment management certificate or equivalent minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking or buy side Investment Management
• Must have prime brokerage knowledge and technical knowledge of Asian markets including China
• Knowledge of stock loan markets in Asia and basic knowledge of corporate actions
• Good understanding of securities lending, equity swaps and associated trading activities. 
• Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters, Powerpoint, Python and VBA working knowledge essential  
• Analytical and quantitative skills and very good attention to detail
• Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work with excellent time planning and organization skills
• Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment
• High sense of urgency
• Outgoing and friendly personality, strong and professional communication skills
• Quick learner, detail oriented; Demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work
