Job Description
AGS Automotive Systems is a full-service automotive supplier specializing in the manufacture and supply of complex high value-add automotive metal components, including in particular front and rear impact assemblies, principally for pick-ups and the heavy truck market. AGS offers full range of in-house capabilities including design and engineering, high tonnage metal stamping, light weighting solutions, innovative multi-material joining, high performance coatings including chrome plating and automated manufacturing processes.

Summary of Duties:
- Be able to fabricate piping assemblies from drawings and from site plans.
- Be able to work with pipe materials such as PVC, steel, and copper.
- Be capable of removing broken pieces of piping and repairing by threading adhesives or other designated methods, including the complete refit and reassemble of replacement fittings & sections.
- Should be able to establish drainage direction and determine the amount of slope as it relates to flow of materials.
- Able to complete overhauls and major repairs to all plant piping systems to do with compressed air, water, steam, condense, industrial chemicals and waste removal systems.
- Be capable of reading and following instruction manuals in detail, together with blueprints, drawings, and sketches, to carry out the proper installations. Be able to follow up oral instructions.
- Must be efficient in the use of acetylene equipment such as torches.
- Perform any other related duties that may be specifically or generally assigned.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent or combination training/experience.
- Must hold a valid Ontario License Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ministry of colleges and Universities (306A trade licence).
