Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of photonics technology? We are looking for a talented photonics engineer to join our team in Lyngby, Denmark. As a key team member, you'll contribute to groundbreaking advancements in next-generation optical transceiver design.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test photonic integrated devices and systems for communication applications
Perform simulations, experiments, and data analysis to evaluate the performance of photonics devices
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in photonics, and optical communication
Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, conference presentations, and publications
Participate in project planning, execution, and review meetings
Design PICs using multiple foundry platforms

Work closely with optoelectronic packaging houses resolving all DFM issues
Education and Experience:
PhD in Photonics devices, optical communication, electrical engineering, or a related field
-
2+ years of experience in photonics research and development particularly PIC design
Skills:
Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Ansys Lumerical, COMSOL) and programming languages (e.g., Python)
Strong understanding of photonics design theory and optical communication principles
Expertise in RF design using ADS or HFSS would be a plus
Strong teamwork abilities
Good command of written and spoken English
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
A good balance between attention to detail and ability to see the big picture
