A facility in Iowa is looking for a pediatric hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage through 24-hour call shifts. Shifts are 8 hours long, followed by call. This role does not include newborn care or delivery attendance, as those responsibilities are handled by the clinic pediatrician. You will lead initial response efforts during code blue situations, with support from anesthesia, emergency medicine, ICU, hospitalists, and ancillary services.
