This position is to teach two or three Introduction to Environmental Science Lab ( ENST 1500L) sections with the possibility of teaching Introduction to Environmental Science lectures ( ENST 1500).
The Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences offers bachelor's degrees in Geology and Environmental Studies and an MS degree in Environmental Science. The department emphasizes an applied approach to learning and student engagement in faculty-directed research.
The department consists of six full-time tenured faculty and seven part-time faculty with industry roots. The department programs have approximately 120 students. Typical sophomore, junior and senior-level courses have a student/faculty ratio of 15:1.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a Master's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. Collegiate teaching experience and/or geoscience industry experience are ideal.
