OFFICE ATTENDANT – WESTERN CAMPUS
The Caribbean Maritime University (CMU), the only specialized maritime university in the English-speaking Caribbean, is inviting applications for OFFICE ATTENDANT (LEVEL 1) post. Job Purpose: The incumbent will efficiently provide office attendant services to the Caribbean Maritime University ’s premises and functions. Key Outputs: -Assigned area maintained -Customer service maintained -Meals/refreshment served -Correspondence/items collected and delivered Key Responsibility Areas: -Cleans assigned work areas as per established schedules or as and when required -Prepares and serves refreshments to meetings/functions etc. as when required -Dusts windows, doors, ledges, tables and desks -Cleans bathrooms and replenishes articles such tissues, soaps and sanitizers -Cleans and disinfects telephone handsets -Prepares refreshment and serves before or during meetings (as required) -Assists with the preparation of ironing graduation gowns for graduates; collecting cleaning agents and storing them properly -Prepares requisitions for cleaning agents and items for refreshment. -Ensures that tables and chairs in the Conference Room is properly placed and cleaned -Ensures that pantry/ lunchrooms are kept clean and tidy by washing all glasses, cups, saucers and plates on a daily basis -Cleans refrigerator and microwave oven -Prepares and serves refreshment in a pleasing manner and according to schedule -Displays excellent customer service at all times during the execution of his/her duties -Other requirements as stipulated by supervisor Minimum Required Qualification and Experience. -Graduated Secondary level education with passes in at least two (2) subjects one of which should be English Language -Heart Certificate -A minimum of two (2) years' work experience in a similar capacity -Food handlers permit would be an assetInterested persons should send their application and resume by August 22, 2025 to:
