Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a skilled Networks Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining, upgrading, and securing our Client's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and other network-related problems.
- Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements and objectives.
- Monitor network performance and utilization, and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date network documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the IT team.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Networks Engineer or in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, and Fortinet networking equipment and platforms.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, Fortinet NSE) are a plus.
