This role is ideal for forensic analysts, IT specialists, cybersecurity experts, and computer engineers with a passion for digital investigations and cybercrime forensics. ________________________________________ ✅ Job Details • Position: Scientific Officer (Computer & Mobile Forensics) • Scale: BPS-17 • Number of Vacancies: 3 • Department: National Forensics Agency (NFA) – National Police Bureau • Location: Islamabad, Pakistan • Employment Type: Contract-based (Until December 2025) ________________________________________ 📜 Eligibility Criteria ✔ Domicile: Candidates from all provinces of Pakistan can apply. ✔ Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (Relaxation as per government rules). ✔ Educational Qualification: • BS/BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Digital Forensics (HEC recognized). ✔ Experience: • Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a certified digital forensics expert in a government forensic lab or similar forensic environment. • Hands-on expertise in data recovery, cybercrime investigations, digital evidence handling, and mobile forensics tools is required. ✔ Gender: Open to Male, Female, and Transgender candidates. ________________________________________ 📌 Key Responsibilities • Forensic Analysis: Conduct computer and mobile forensic investigations on digital devices, ensuring proper evidence collection and preservation. • Cybercrime Investigations: Assist in cybercrime, hacking, digital fraud, and electronic evidence cases. • Data Recovery & Extraction: Utilize forensic tools to recover deleted, encrypted, or hidden data from computers and mobile devices. • Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Work closely with police, FIA, and intelligence agencies to analyze and present forensic findings in criminal investigations. • Report Preparation: Prepare technical forensic reports and testify in court proceedings when required. • Use of Forensic Tools: Work with tools such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, XRY, Magnet AXIOM, and Autopsy to conduct investigations. ________________________________________ 📝 Selection Process 📌 Written Test: Candidates will be tested on: • Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity • Computer Networks & Data Analysis • Cybercrime Laws in Pakistan • Logical Reasoning & Analytical Skills 📌 Technical Interview: Candidates who pass the written test will be invited for a technical interview and practical forensic assessment.
