Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (12-Month Contract)
Location: Dublin, Ireland (On-site)
About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Dublin on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This role will be focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling and thermal analysis to support the design and optimisation of large-scale infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate CFD models for thermal and airflow analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cooling and mechanical systems.
- Apply engineering principles to evaluate performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Provide technical expertise in simulation and problem-solving to support design improvements.
Key Skills
- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) – OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Mechanics
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash) for simulation and data analysis
- Mechanical Engineering background (HVAC, cooling systems preferred)
- Experience in thermal and airflow modelling for large-scale environments
