Outwood Academy Bydales is an Ofsted rated Outstanding 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park and with spectacular views of the coastline. We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our Mathematics department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals led by an experienced head of department working to this sole aim. Student outcomes are excellent year on year. In summer 2023, 84% of students achieved at least a grade 4 and 65% at least a grade 5 - both figures are the highest in the local authority. Alongside the standard GCSE Mathematics with Pearson Edexcel, we also offer AQA’s Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics to our most able students during Enrichment which takes place each day from 2:30 until 3:30.
