Summary of Job Responsibilities
This Position is Responsible for liaison initiatives between Manufacturing Operations and Design Engineering teams (sustaining and new products)
This position is critical to our Engineering Department to ensure quality design, accuracy of BOMs, drawings, tooling and fixturing. This position will also assist manufacturing operations in helping to identify efficiencies and processes/product improvements
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Monitors BOMs and drawings for accuracy and reports changes as necessary
- Works with planning and scheduling team to help coordinate routings while maintaining accuracy standards
- Recommends tooling and equipment upgrades/improvements to help ensure quality and delivery of better lead times
- Collaborates with engineering to define and produce necessary jigs and fixtures to facilitate and/or improve productivity
- Monitors production first run for accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Follows new product release through production, verifying documentation and methods
- Laison with the Engineering team for product certifications (i.e. UL, CE)
NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to maintain a professional presence with all customers, vendors, fellow colleagues and management
- Ability to adapt to change and take proactive approach.
- Ability and willingness to work necessary hours to achieve high standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering is required
- 2 years of hands on experience in a similar manufacturing and/or engineering role
- Previous experience with product certifications (UL, CE) is a plus
- Previous experience with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is preferred
