About Allocate

Allocate is transforming private market investing by enabling RIAs and family offices to seamlessly discover, model, and manage their private market exposure.

Our platform combines curated fund and co-investment opportunities with institutional-grade infrastructure. Through a single, data-rich digital experience, clients access top-tier opportunities across venture capital, private equity, private credit, and other private asset classes—backed by powerful tracking, analytics, and administration tools.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly ambitious, entrepreneurial investor to help scale our curated investment platform—one of the core pillars of Allocate.

This is more than an investment role. You’ll source, evaluate, and manage fund and co-investment opportunities, with a particular focus on venture capital and private equity. You’ll also help shape the broader platform by building relationships with leading GPs, supporting product development, and driving key strategic initiatives.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and wants to help build the next generation of private markets infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Diligence: Lead quantitative and qualitative research and due diligence on private market funds and co-investments.

GP Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage deep relationships with top-tier GPs, including deal structuring and securing access.

Opportunity Sourcing: Proactively build a robust pipeline of fund and co-investment opportunities through outbound efforts and network relationships.

IC Process Ownership: Prepare and present clear, balanced investment recommendations to the Allocate Investment Committee.

Product Collaboration: Partner with product, technology, and operations teams to refine platform features and improve the investment experience.

Portfolio Monitoring: Support post-investment updates, quarterly reporting, and ongoing portfolio analytics.

Thought Leadership: Develop insights, thematic research, and content to elevate Allocate’s voice in the market.

Internal Enablement: Educate internal stakeholders on private markets trends and investment themes.

External Representation: Attend industry events, participate in investor meetings, and act as a public-facing ambassador for Allocate.

Qualifications

7–10+ years of experience in private markets (venture capital, fund-of-funds, family office, RIA, institutional allocator, etc.)

Deep understanding of the VC/PE landscape, including emerging trends, fund structures, and market dynamics

Strong track record of building GP relationships and securing differentiated access

High analytical horsepower and intellectual curiosity—able to extract insights beyond the numbers

Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and builds from zero

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complexity

Product orientation: understands how investment workflows intersect with technology and operations

Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through

Bachelor’s degree required; CFA or CAIA (or progress toward) preferred

Why Allocate?

Join a mission-driven company working to modernize private markets  access and infrastructure

Collaborate with a world-class team across investing, product, and technology

Take a leadership role in shaping the future of a fast-growing fintech platform

Work on impactful, visible projects with real ownership and autonomy
