ClickUp is seeking a dynamic Manager to lead our US Enterprise Solutions Engineering team—a pivotal role driving revenue, technical excellence, and team growth at the heart of our enterprise sales motion. As a key leader, you’ll coach and upskill a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers, define and execute new enterprise selling strategies, and partner cross-functionally to shape the future of technical sales at ClickUp.
The ideal candidate is a proven top-performing Solutions Engineer with enterprise customer experience and demonstrated management skills. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, can zoom into technical details and out to strategic vision, and are passionate about building high-impact teams that deliver results.
The Role:
  • Coach and develop a team of solutions engineers for the Enterprise sales segment
  • Provide presales support for enterprise opportunities as an individual contributor as needed
  • Help establish best practices around the technical sales engagement (demoing, discovery, objection handling, storytelling, workflow diagramming, business case development, ROI conversations, etc)
  • Maintain a current understanding of ClickUp's target market technical requirements and trends
  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop sales motion playbooks, such as strategic and technical account plans
  • Partner with Professional Services, Product and Customer Success leadership to drive improved cross-departmental collaboration and key strategic projects
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science in technical field strongly preferred; equivalent work experience considered
  • Masters degree or other advanced degree preferred
  • 6+ years in a customer facing role with technology. Ideally all in presales, but may also be equivalent consulting, implementation, or sales enablement experience. Minimum 2+ years in individual customer-facing presales role as a top performer.
  • 1+ years in a management or leadership role with direct reports is preferred
  • Ability to effectively coach and train new team members in presales skills
  • Ability to challenge and lead team members towards peak performance
  • Deep understanding of CWM, PPM, and peripheral domains
  • Demonstrated ability in business process mapping and diagramming, with experience in consumption-based selling and value selling to drive customer outcomes and align solutions with business objectives.
  • Demonstrable ability to define vision and strategy, and communicate up and down the chain
  • Masterful communicator
  • Up to 30% of travel required in role
