The Platform Team at Wildlife is reinventing itself. It started providing services for the games online features and has since evolved to provide a platform that leverages the best of our teams when creating, operating, and distributing our games.

We know that the work we do has a high impact on our company's success, and to achieve that, we work with a broad technology stack and have an approach of being fully responsible for our systems, from their conception to incident resolution and troubleshooting in production.

We own several services that, combined, serve more than 1 million requests per minute. We know this number will only grow, and we're looking for managers who can help with the challenges of developing systems that perform well at a large scale.

What you’ll do

  • Participate in the architecture design of systems, focusing on your customer, whether they are players or other Wildlife employees;
  • Oversee two engineering teams,responsible for delivering features critical to all company games;
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure components and tools, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency;
  • Collaborate closely with leaders across engineering, product, and design to align priorities, balance trade-offs, and remove roadblocks;
  • Collaborate across diverse teams and disciplines to speed up game development, streamline operations, and uncover new avenues for feature expansion and value generation.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent tech areas and/or equivalent experience;
  • Solid experience in software development and solution design;
  • Solid understanding of computer concepts (data structures, networking, concurrency, memory management, and algorithm analysis);
  • Proven ability to manage engineering teams, develop infrastructure budget estimates, and translate company strategies into tangible, actionable projects.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing and maintaining systems with a high volume of requests;
  • Experience developing systems in the games industry;
  • Experience developing platform products;
  • Business knowledge about the games industry;
  • Experience in Golang;
  • Experience in network sockets;
  • Experience in Unity development.

More about you

  • You're passionate about software development and know how to ensure its quality.
  • You're motivated by building up back-end services and SDKs, aware of their different architectures.
  • Experienced working in an environment that uses and stimulates DevOps culture;
  • You're creative when solving problems and are continuously seeking improvements for processes and solutions.
  • You can communicate clearly with your team, other teams, and the company to identify issues and demands.
  • You know when and how to manage up, explaining what you need to achieve your goals.
