Machine Learning Intern (2026)

Our 10-week internship programme in Amsterdam is your chance to experience life as a Machine Learning Intern at IMC. As a Machine Learning Intern at IMC, you will delve into the proprietary trading landscape during a week of engaging and challenging classroom-based learning, continue to hone your skills with a meaningful project, and build a valuable network of IMC traders and engineers. Throughout the summer, you will receive comprehensive support from dedicated internship trainers, and a one-on-one mentor to guide you in your work and professional development. YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILTIES

• Accelerating training of our ML trading models on a distributed environment
• Automating ML workflows, experiment evaluation and management, hyperparam tuning (autoML) & retraining to help traders in evaluating models
• Work on-and improve our growing GPU hardware cluster (data pipeline design, leveraging libraries such as GPUDirect & DALI)
• Build next generation ML driven trading strategies
• Attend workshops, trainings, and other fun social activities alongside the full internship cohort

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• In your penultimate (graduating in 2027) or ultimate (graduating in 2026) year of study in a MSc with a specialisation in machine learning, statistics, deep learning, probabilistic programming or a related field
• Experience in fundamental ML frameworks like Pytorch and Jax
• Experienced in Python, experience in C++ is highly desired
• Candidates with publications in respected journals in deep learning, GNNs, time-series models
• Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)
• Must be able to start the internship on June 22, 2026
