In this hybrid role, you will manage loan files from application through closing, ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with originations, underwriting, borrowers, and third-party vendors to support efficient deal execution.
Responsibilities as the Loan Processor (Real Estate):
- Loan File Review & Validation: Review loan applications, credit files, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Borrower & Third-Party Coordination: Communicate with borrowers, brokers, agents, and vendors to obtain required documentation and resolve missing or incomplete information.
- Underwriting & Document Preparation: Prepare and organize loan files for underwriting review, including analysis of appraisals, title reports, and related loan documents.
- Pipeline & Timeline Management: Track loans from application through closing, proactively managing timelines and providing status updates to stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner with origination and underwriting teams to support loan approvals and assist with accurate, timely closing and funding.
- Education: High school diploma required, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-10 years of experience in loan processing, loan operations, or servicing within a real estate or lending environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of loan processing workflows, underwriting requirements, and closing procedures.
