About the job
We are the Area Special School for the east of Central Bedfordshire and aim to provide a high quality, calm and caring learning environment, where pupils and staff are encouraged to reach their true potential. The school provides high standards of education for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities aged 3 – 19. The main school operates on two sites which are within ½ a mile of each other; the primary site and the secondary site. Additionally, we have five satellite classes based on two local mainstream school sites.
The successful applicants will be appointed to the whole school and you could be required to work on either site or in one of our satellite classes.
All of the posts are a permanent full time contract and are for 32.5 hours weekly and the hours you will be required to work are 8.45 – 3.45 on a daily basis.
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and energetic teaching assistants. Although previous experience is preferred, we are looking for people with the skills, aptitude and attitude to work effectively with our pupils, all of whom have special educational needs.
