As lead software engineer, you will help define the future of our solutions using your knowledge of building scalable financial solutions to empower smallholder farmers to grow their businesses.This is a hands-on role with a blend of development, architecture and problem solving, working closely with a team of software developers, product manager and tech lead based in Kigali, Rwanda to deliver products that can transform the informal economy.As Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the development team in the architecture, design, development and testing of the applications through the entire product life cycle. The role will mix the technical leadership of a growing team with some hands-on coding, and would be a great role for an experienced full stack developer looking to grow their responsibilities into technical leadership. The hiveonline stack relies heavily on a robust and complex back end with links to multiple payments systems, including blockchain and mobile money, so this role will provide exposure to leading-edge developments in financial infrastructure.
