About the job
We seek a warm, vibrant and inspiring individual to join our team, working with students to support them to achieve their personal best. You will lead supporting a cohort of children which will involve acting as their key worker and could involve leading on safeguarding issue, providing wellbeing support. You will lead on providing whole school extra-curricular year group support e.g. Year 11 exam stress and year 7 break clubs. You will also support effective liaison and communication between the wellbeing team, SEN team, Pastoral team and teaching staff to improve progress overtime for students with SEMH needs. You will work with the wellbeing team and SEN team to identify students with SEMH needs and will deliver interventions to these students.
Essential criteria:
- Be able to demonstrate levels of numeracy and literacy to GCSE (Grade C/4 and above)
- Experience of working with children/young people
- Ability to engage and influence others
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Experience of working across departments and with external organisations
- Ability to monitor and evaluate impact of interventions and strategies
- Commitment to the safeguarding of young people
