IT Engineer

We will be expected to suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory as well as license compliance. As part of your responsibilities you will be required to: Provide day to day technology directions within different Operating systems (Linux and windows), Virtualization technologies (Nutanix, VMware, and Citrix etc), and administration of storage systems. Critical issue resolution Management of incidents and problems Project execution Innovation Continually improves operations through routine monitoring of system performance metrics and proactive actions. Reviewing of system log files, trend analysis, configuration, incident and problem management processes. Recommends and works with the Solution and Enterprise Architect on system or architectural changes when needed to improve performance, high availability, scalability, or propose innovative technologies. Ensures architectural consistency and provides technical direction through roadmap process, knowledge management, disaster recovery plan development and testing. Creating all the necessary documentation for any changes in the environment or innovative technology deployments as reference architecture for the global operation team. Operating System: RedHat Linux, Windows Hardware platforms: Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, Dell servers Virtualization: VMware, Citrix, Nutanix Storage solutions: Dell-EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage Proficiency in scripting languages is advantageous Bachelor's/Master degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/Computer Technology/ Or any related engineering related courses. Good knowledge in bash/perl/PowerShell scripting language Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong desire to solve real life business issues with one's IT skillset. Keen desire to pick up infrastructure knowledge, eg (different Operating Solution like windows/ Linux, and pick up knowledge in virtualization platform like VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift, etc) Able to pick up new concepts fast.
